We offer globally standardized Swagelok training courses like Essentials Training and Swagelok Global Subject Matter Expert Training found at over 225 Swagelok sales and service centers around the world, as well as locally created training sessions to support unique market needs. Swagelok certified trainers host essentials classes to align theoretical, practical, and facilitation standards. All training class attendance is tracked either at the local level or Swagelok Company based on specific class requirements.

Overview
Our most popular local option includes content and hands-on exercises from tube fitting installation, inspection, and bending courses. Upon course completion, students will know how to correctly assemble and gauge a Swagelok® tube fitting as well as bend the tube properly. They will gain an understanding of the differences in tube fitting designs, components, and their importance to proper assembly and bending techniques. Bending the tube helps to eliminate mechanical connections, which can be a source for leaks in traditional fluid systems.
Session Outline:
Identify parts of a tube fitting
Discuss and demonstrate proper installation and reassembly procedures
Understand the differences in tube fitting designs, components, and the importance of proper assembly
Identify thread types and installation practices
Discuss tubing variables and how to properly inspect and select tubing
Learn cutting methods and proper techniques for de-burring tubing•
Identify the parts and procedures of tube benders
Understand bending terminology, measurement, marking and minimum bending lengths

Understand bending defects and learn in real time during hands-on exercises

Point to Point Bending
Overview
This course is designed to teach students techniques for effective point-to-point tube bending. It differs from the standard bending class because students are not provided with templates for bends to make. Instead, students are taught how to measure spaces between connection points on a large bend board and route tubing around obstacles using their own measurements. This is beneficial for maintenance staff who often install tubing on-the-fly inside their facility.
