How do I know that my gauge is experiencing overpressure?
What causes overpressure in my gauge?
A gauge with the incorrect pressure range for the application which is incapable of accurately reflecting the system pressure.
Possible Risks
The Bourdon tube will rupture, causing complete gauge failure
System media will be released into the environment, resulting in potential injury and lost system media
Select a gauge rated to 2X the normal system operating pressure to provide a larger window of measurable pressure. In extreme cases, use a diaphragm seal solution with a super restrictor (0.3 mm) for a more robust solution.
